1. Go ice skating
Perhaps the ultimate romantic date night idea, the UK has tons of ice rinks in beautiful settings this Christmas season, from the Natural History Museum in London to ice skating at the Birmingham and Edinburgh Christmas markets. Then warm up with mince pie and mulled wine – but get in quickly, because the tickets are already sold out!
2. Watch a movie in a winter-themed cinema

3. Visit a Christmas market
It is not Christmas without a visit to a romantic Christmas market to really warm your cockles. Fortunately, the UK is full of it. Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland is a top bet, with endless romantic activities from rides on the Ferris wheel to cozy mulled wine tents and festive food stalls, while world-class Christmas markets are held across the country from Bath to York. Or why not take a super romantic getaway to a European city like Berlin or Amsterdam for the perfect festive couple’s holiday?
4th Go to a Christmas Tree Farm
Whether it’s the first Christmas or fourteenth together, visiting a Christmas tree farm to choose your own tree for home is one of the most festive couple activities there is. Wrap up warm, get a warm drink – and a measuring tape! – and choose your own tree to decorate together in your living room.

5. Watch a theatrical performance
The perfect date idea to go to the theater together is a wonderfully festive activity. Why not buy tickets as part of each other’s Christmas gifts? Whether you want to go classy and see a ballet like that The Nutcracker or a fun musical like The Book of Mormon There is sure to be something for every couple.

Yes, eating and drinking is nothing new to a date idea, but if there is one thing London does well for Christmas, it’s the many winter terraces. 2. Try your hand at a cooking class
A great Christmas Pressie to redeem in – sometimes gloomy – midwinter. Taking a cooking class is a great way to reconnect and have fun at the same time.
