The site: South farm in the Cambridgeshire countryside (on the Hertfordshire border) is an environmentally friendly, family run business. Covering an area of 20 hectares, this venue offers beautiful gardens, elegant buildings and a charming farm. It is an absolutely unique and charming setting for a relaxed yet elegant country wedding.
The atmosphere: Vintage farm garden party. This wedding celebrates love and friendship in equal measure. A down-to-earth festival full of good times. The kind of wedding where the bride takes off her shoes and plays lawn games with her girlfriends (squirting rat, dart, hoopla and ball in a bucket) and then everyone dancing the night away.
The details: That Large handcrafted rustic lights “LOVE” and “MR & MRS” from Camb Lights created a youthful and modern atmosphere. Camb Lights also supplied a “Happily Ever After” neon sign that served as the backdrop for the cake cutting. Speaking of cakes, Kelly’s cake kitchen incorporated elements that are reminiscent of late spring / early summer. The oblong cake with raspberry and Belgian white chocolate was covered with structured Swiss meringue buttercream in a light pastel pink and decorated with dried edible petals.
Highlights:
- ON Bridal headdress can make a real statement. Our bride wore the Nadia Pearl bridal headband from Rachel Sokhal accessories, a beautiful traditional headgear with a modern twist. It features stunning Swarovski pearls that create a timeless, romantic look.
- The glam team for this shoot created soft, romantic looks for the bridal shower. Her top tips for styling bridesmaids with different hair colors and styles are to consider individuality and try not to impose the same style on everyone and use accessories (like pins, tendrils and slides), braids or twists to add to your looks tie together.
- There are lots of fun alternatives to traditional wedding cars. Think about what best reflects you and the atmosphere you are trying to do. If that’s a vintage VW station wagon like the one delivered by The vintage transport type, Do it!
