Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you chose a career in photography?
I was always this one friend who brought his little digital camera and I can honestly say I had as much fun going through the pictures the next day and editing them for my friends as I did dancing all night!
For as long as I can remember, art and modern dance have been my escapism. During my studies, I realized that I could combine them, which inspired me to turn to photography and make my first investment in a DSLR camera.
As I got older, I realized how much I enjoyed making people feel good about themselves, whether it be through makeovers, new haircuts, or photoshoots! These projects helped my loved ones feel more confident and they appreciated the art I created; which gave me a great sense of accomplishment because they trusted me with my own creation.
And so the idea of becoming a wedding photographer was born! I absolutely fell in love with capturing the beauty and joy of a wedding day after seeing someone I knew doing it for a living. I found the photos breathtaking, I was impressed.
How would you describe your photography style? What is the inspiration behind your aesthetic?
It may sound cliche, but to this day I still draw inspiration from my favorite artists. Especially the French Impressionist – Edgar Degas, his Dancers series touches me so much because dancing was such a big part of my life growing up.

I also adore love and romance. Seeing the unique connection between a couple encourages me to convey that feeling in their photos and throughout their gallery.
I truly feel that my inspiration comes from what I enjoy most about my job – creating beauty out of everyday things and having the artistic freedom to do it in my own unique way. I feel so lucky and honored to call this my job.

What can the bride and groom expect from you on their wedding day?
Someone who is totally dedicated to their work and determined to put your mind at ease while you pose for your picture. I’ve also been known for sewing on buttons, styling hair and putting on tit tape at the last minute…
However, I cannot stress enough the importance of choosing the right photographer You. Make the investment – you’ll be spending hours with them on one of the biggest days of your life. If you can, follow them on Instagram, get to know their character, really refine how their work makes you feel.

Your wedding photographer will document one of the most beautiful days of your life, which you will look back on for many years to come. for me mAn ideal client is one who chose me for what I can bring to the day and who aligns with my work style.
Do you have a favorite style or place to photograph?
With portraits and styled shootings you can let your creativity run free. I love simple backgrounds, anything that draws attention to the couple and allows me to play with light and contrast.
There is so much beauty to capture during these sessions such as the emotions and the personalities and the connection of the couple that all need to be celebrated – so I try to stay away from fussy/flat backgrounds.

What‘s your favorite part of the wedding day?
Great question!
There are certain aspects of a wedding day that excite and inspire any creative photographer. My favorites are undoubtedly seeing the dress for the first time and watching the light interact with it throughout the day. I’ve also always valued femininity, and with that I enjoy exploring composition and contrast, which has developed my distinctive way of telling my couples’ story of their wedding day. I just love the whole atmosphere of a wedding, they are such a happy place!

How have you developed since you started your photography business?
Oh, in many ways.
Not only my work and how it has developed over the years, but also my self-confidence in social situations has grown massively. I used to be quite a shy and unknown person – but this job literally takes you out of your comfort zone. My job is to help others be less shy and bring out the best in them.
Over the years I have come to love this experience of meeting new people. I’m proud of how far I’ve come in the industry and the feedback I’ve received from my amazing couples.
What‘is next for you?
I love bridal fashion, I would love to one day work with one of my favorite bridal designers – it’s a dream of mine.
One day in the future, I envision The Vedrines Photography employing and training independent aspiring wedding photographers to capture The Vedrines style weddings. With editing and presentation being such a big part of the brand, I still think some of the business will fall on me – especially since editing is what I love doing!
