Romantic Regency in Greece – B’LOVED Blog

The history: Fans of Netflix’s Bridgeton will know that we’re just a few months away from the long-awaited Season 2 launch. What better way to anticipate the beautiful attire, social soirees and intimate moments that will hit our screens in March than with a stylish Regency-era inspired shoot. The concept behind this shoot was to bring the decadence and majestic charm of this series outside, creating an inspiring environment for brides-to-be.

The site: Greece exerts an undeniable attraction for sea and sun lovers. Nowhere does the sea feel more inviting than on the fine sands of the Mango Beach Bar on the beach of Kanali in the Preveza region of Greece. It is one of the largest beach venues in the area and an ideal place to get married on the sand.

The atmosphere: Gentle and sensual coastal romance with a touch of bygone times. This celebration takes place under a beach pavilion adorned with chandeliers and candlesticks. Surrounded by a rainbow of pastel tones, diners savor old-fashioned delights like currants, figs, jams and cheeses.

The details: Synonymous with fine English china, Wedgwood Blue is a nod to the luxury and reputation of the Bridgertons. This symbolic color served as the base of the palette, balanced with warm creams, powdery pinks and soft greens. The stunning flowers featured an abundance of delicate blooms, including Bengal roses, lisianthus, wisteria, hyacinths and dahlias. Dyed muslin, a type of fabric introduced in the 19th century, was used for table decorations. Romantic and sophisticated florals have been combined with organic appliqués for the bride’s attire. Natural, fresh and elegant makeup gave our bride fresh dewy skin and naturally beautiful minimalist makeup with brushed up eyebrows.

Tips & Highlights:

  • Since Regency women knew how to take care of their lips, a soft, shimmering lip balm is a great way to achieve a healthy bridal pout instead of the more traditional lipstick look.
  • Echoing the show’s elaborate headpieces, Anna Tsadima used jeweled, high-shine hair accessories to complement the bridal wear. Many Regency-era hairstyles were rooted in ancient Greece and featured a soft braid that was half-up, half-down to the point.
  • Manousenia theme and Narcissus Fine Art created romantic watercolor calligraphy suites, signs and party favors with printed silk scarves, botanical offerings, English tea, caviar and truffles on delicate serving plates.
