The history: Natalie & Matthew met at a mutual friend’s wedding in New York. They hung together the next day and never left each other’s sides. As with many other couples impacted by the COVID pandemic, planning for Natalie and Matthew’s wedding proved challenging. Matt is from Ireland and his family lives in the UK. Due to border closures, the couple had to make the difficult decision of going ahead with their wedding celebration without family being able to join them from across the pond.
The site: the Montecito Club in Santa Barbara, California. The Montecito Club is a beautiful historic venue filled with bright colors and beautiful wood accents. It’s the perfect setting for a classic and timeless wedding. This venue also had nostalgic significance as Natalie’s grandparents were members there for over 40 years.
The atmosphere: The feel of the California Riviera with panoramic ocean views. The recently renovated club’s stunning architecture, historic features and immaculate grounds make this a spectacular setting for a summer wedding.
The details: This color palette was all about the classics. Ivory and cream were combined with touches of royal blue. Natalie wore an elegant backless dress styled with her long tresses in a glamorous loose Hollywood wave. The floral design was elegant and sophisticated, consisting entirely of white flowers and greenery. Gold embellishments were used on the tablescape to create a luxurious feel that complemented the prestigious venue. But classy doesn’t have to be boring. RCD dance made sure Natalie, Matt and their guests danced the night away by installing a custom dance floor!
