The history: This styled shoot brings the charm and romance of the old world to Southern California. With its chic and timeless black and white theme, this celebration was inspired by old black and white photos by Lorie Laus (by H&L beautiful creations) Wall. Aside from a few, most of those wedding photos were lost, so the team behind this shoot put on their thinking caps to recreate what this wedding might have looked like to give it a modern twist.
The site: The breathtaking Kestral Park. A delightful 100 acre property with a 19th century English country house, gardens and stables in Santa Ynez, California. This beautiful Santa Barbara property is a luxurious outdoor wedding venue that offers guests a private wedding location with unparalleled character and charm.
The atmosphere: A classic black and white wedding with a touch of gold and some elegant shades of gray for a luxurious feel. It oozed nostalgic elegance and included a champagne tower, luxury fashion, fine wines and vintage cars. Modern elements like the special cake from have been added Purple cake shop decorated in piping Anemones, tailor-made coffee cocktails, modern table decorations and luxurious accents.
The details: To complement and enhance the traditional black and white color scheme, floral design was all about white blooms. As outfits, they chose a modern version of the black tie and chose a preppy white tuxedo from Brother Tux for a little margin. Lory’s mother entered beauty pageants so they wanted a fashionable, high-end wedding dress as a nod to it. And what could be more perfect than one Berta Dress decorated with the characteristic sparkle. Laurie’s father was an auto mechanic, so they hired a classic as a hat to his job Shelby Cobra as a getaway car.
