There’s something incredibly special about sunrise in the mountains, especially in Colorado. And when is it better to get married than at Alpenglow, an optical phenomenon that appears as a horizontal reddish glow near the horizon opposite the sun when the solar disk is just below the horizon?!

Ashely and Kyle are nature lovers and intrepid hikers. They got engaged on a hike and knew there was only one place for them to say yes – on a mountain!

The couple turned to Sean Vows and Summits to discuss various hiking options that will lead to their escape before finally settling down on Colorado’s stunning alpine lake.

On their wedding day, Ashley and Kyle helped each other into their wedding attire as the sun peered over the ridge and shared a private first glimpse. Ashley and Kyle then took their vows at sunrise. This special day was something very special, as there were still some remains of winter ice on the alpine lake, which made the backdrop look like from Alaska. It was one of those magical sunrises that took your breath away (and was worth the early wake up call)!

After exploring the area, our lovers ended their escape with Summit Beer and shared letters from friends and family wishing Kyle and Ashely the best for their epic adventure. With Sean by their side, they were able to capture some amazing moments along the way that they will cherish forever.
