- Orange peel

Method:
- Start by adding a generous handful of ice to your Rocks glass and setting aside.

- 100g light muscovado sugar

- 4 cloves
- 150ml water

Method:
- Put 100 g light muscovado sugar with 1 star anise, 1 cinnamon stick, 4 cloves and 150 ml water in a pan. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Simmer for 2 minutes, then pour into a large jug and let cool. 1 lemon and 2 clementines, both thinly sliced, together with 150 ml Cointreau and a 750 ml bottle of light red wine, e.g. B. a Beaujolais, in the jug. Stir well, then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or, if possible, overnight.
- Serve chilled or over ice with an orange peel and star anise. If you want to serve a traditional warm mulled wine, there is no need to cool it – just warm it through without boiling and serve in heat-resistant glasses.
