The history: The vision was to transform The White Garden into a luxurious, elegant and upscale wedding design with a rustic touch. The White Garden is beautifully surrounded by blooming white roses and is adored with a white iron pavilion and a beautiful water fountain.
The site: Christmas House Inn & Gardens, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The inn and its lush gardens were designed to entertain Southern California high society. The inn is a beautiful Victorian house built in 1904 by a wealthy lumberjack and shipbuilder. The property was restored in 1983 by its current owners but retains the charm and elegance from the day it was built.
The atmosphere: A Combination of a modern bridal couple, a grand old Victorian estate and a beautifully decorated garden. Timeless and unique at the same time.
The details: The design team wanted to underline the natural elegance of The Whote Garden with a large royal table and decorate it with a lot of flowers. Flower arrangements with beautiful light peach, ivory, and peach colored roses were used with pops of pink and burgundy roses. The table landscape was created by draping a peach-colored tulle runner and setting the table with gold underplates, white crystal, gold cutlery, white linen napkins, blushed goblets and crystal champagne glasses. Oversized wooden pillar candles were used as the centerpiece with three beautiful rose pots.
Tips & highlights:
- Use hand-painted and crafted name badges for a personal touch.
- Think about how your color choices can be used in your wedding design. In this case, the blue tones of the wedding invitations were matched to the slate blue color of the groom’s tuxedo.
- Incorporate lace or bead embroidery for a romantic bridal style. Pair this with an open back for a more dramatic look.
