The history: Travel back in time to the Middle Ages with this wedding at the Castillo de Belmonte. Inspired by medieval mysticism, this stylish shoot combines elegance, history and tradition to create a bit of magic.

The site: Belmonte Castle. In Cuenca, just an hour and a half from Madrid, is this 15th century medieval castle, declared a National Monument. It is one of the best preserved castles in Spain and was restored in the summer of 2010, making it an ideal location for weddings.

The vibes: History and mystery, a modern take on the Middle Ages. This venue is steeped in history and didn’t need a lot of adornment to bring this theme to life. Rustic styling, like the table landscape decorated with candles and glasses, was just the thing. The bride’s floating dress with its chenille butterfly sleeves gives a feeling of romance and femininity.

The details: Lydia walked down the aisle in a dress Jesus Peiro, with mesh neckline, a tribute to medieval fashion. Sandro wore a dark blue suit with a dark purple vest with salmon colored dots over a white shirt and a salmon colored bow tie designed by Bere Casillas. The bridal bouquet featured a range of colors, including bright pinks, oranges, and whites.
