Filming locations in Bridgerton where you can get married

The Regency Era Series Bridgerton, based on the story of eight close-knit Bridgerton siblings searching for love and happiness in London’s high society, took last year by storm.

With the highly anticipated second season hitting our screens imminently, we take a look at the filming locations that have been used throughout the series, from grandiose ballrooms to beautiful outdoor spaces that you can use as your wedding venue.

Hatfield House, Hertfordshire

Many of the scenes in Bridgeton was filmed at Hatfield House in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, with scenes filmed in the West Garden, Marble Hall and the Library of Hatfield.

This beautiful and stunning Hertfordshire wedding venue, set amidst elegant and rolling countryside, caters for weddings of all sizes. We especially love The Old Palace, which offers complete versatility and was specially designed to cater for medium to large weddings of at least 60 guests during off-peak times.

Syon Park, London

Clyvedon Castle – the residence of the Duke of Hastings where Daphne moves after her marriage – was filmed primarily at Syon House in London’s Kew Gardens and also served as the backdrop for the Duke of Hastings’ study and dressing room.

Syon Park offers wedding venues from April through mid-October, available for ceremonies, parties and receptions in the majestic Great Hall for 120 guests or in the State Dining Room for civil ceremonies for up to 50 guests.

Post-ceremony drinks in the private courtyard are framed by white and fragrant flowers, while the colonnade overlooks the water meadows. Then the Great Conservatory is perfect for evening receptions adorned with palm trees, exotic flowers and trees, while the Crystal Palace can accommodate 150 to 160 seated guests for dinner in a true fairy tale setting.

Badminton House, Gloucestershire

Areas of the Duke’s residence were also filmed at Badminton House in Gloucestershire and used for the interiors of Clyvedon Castle, including the Duke’s drawing room and breakfast rooms.

In the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside, Badminton House is the home of the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort. Offering a range of spaces both within and throughout the property, it provides the perfect backdrop for weddings. The Family and Village Church can be used for weddings and blessings and can accommodate up to 200 people, while the Drawing Room, Old Hall and Old Kitchen of the West Wing comfortably seat 65.

Leigh Court, Bath

Leigh Court, a historic 19th-century estate 45 minutes outside of Bath, was the scene of most of the ball scenes in Bridgerton, Shot between many of the different rooms.

This exclusively used wedding location is perfect for weddings and civil marriages. From intimate ceremonies in the building’s Great Hall to massive wedding receptions in a marquee, the historic venue and expansive lawns provide everything you need to create the wedding of your dreams with exclusive use for at least 60 guests.

Ranger’s house, London

The exterior of the Bridgeton‘s Grosvenor Square mansion is filmed at the Ranger’s House in Greenwich, London.

The English Heritage-run Ranger’s House is an elegant Georgian villa on the border of Greenwich Park and Blackheath that houses the Wernher Collection, a world-class art collection curated by 19th-century businessman Sir Julius Wernher.

Parts of the house and garden can be hired out for civil weddings and there is a marquee license available for a truly magical Regency era celebration, whether it’s an indoor or outdoor wedding. The tall sash windows, white columns and portico will delight your guests upon arrival, while the charming The Walled Garden is the ideal place for drinks receptions.

Banquet hall, bathroom

You may recognize Bath’s Guildhall Banqueting Room as another stage set for the many balls attended by the Bridgerton family.

The Banquet Room houses an impressive Georgian interior and is situated in the heart of Bath; It is the largest room in the Guildhall and is filled with ornate cornices and spectacular chandeliers to inspire and impress your guests.

It’s the perfect location for a wedding reception, having hosted notable events for hundreds of years, while neighboring Aix-en-Provence is the perfect complement for serving refreshments or welcoming guests.

The historic Chatham Dockyard, Kent

The rundown streets of London away from Bridgerton’s Mayfair residence are filmed at Chatham Historic Dockyard in Kent – where Simon and Will’s boxing matches also took place.

But don’t worry, this unique wedding venue is a far cry from the ramshackle scenes in the series; It’s home to several elegant buildings, and you can even say “yes” aboard the romantic Victorian HMS Gannet for a wedding your guests will remember forever. Choose from a variety of exclusive venues for ceremonies and receptions, including the Commissioner’s House – Britain’s oldest naval building – an elegant Georgian house with a choice of stylish rooms to accommodate any wedding size of up to 250 guests.

The surrounding Commissioner’s Garden provides the perfect setting for receptions with drinks and photos, and you’ll enjoy exclusive use of the venue, including a bridal suite for the bridal party to get ready for the day.

Painshill Park, Surrey

Many of the exterior scenes in Bridgeton – from the romantic strolls through the gardens to the infamous near duel between the Duke and Anthony, was filmed in Surrey’s beautiful Painshil Park, an 18th-century landscaped garden steeped in romantic folly.

Painshill is licensed to host both civil and civil union ceremonies for up to 75 guests at its Gothic temple, allowing you to exchange your vows in an incredible setting. Then the Amphitheater Lawn is exclusively yours for photos and drinks for your wedding, with an included marquee and golf buggy, and a driver to guide you and your partner through the countryside, from the romantic ruins and sparkling Crystal Grotto to picturesque bridges and the beautiful Serpentine Lake.

Howard Castle, Coneysthorpe, Yorkshire

Clyvedon Village, where Daphne meets the villagers after moving in with Simon, was filmed in Coneysthorpe, Yorkshire, in the shadow of Castle Howard, a historic house in northern England with ornate interiors and landscaped gardens.

The house and grounds are available for exclusive hire and offer a wide variety of spaces to accommodate anything from a micro wedding for eight to celebrations for hundreds of guests.
